Omega Land Surveying, Inc. is seeking experienced and dependable individuals to join our team as Survey Technicians or Field Crew members. We offer both office-based and field-based positions, depending on your experience and strengths. As a growing firm based in San Diego, we work closely with Omega Engineering Consultants to deliver high-quality surveying services for residential and commercial land development projects throughout Southern California. We take pride in precision, efficiency, and maintaining a strong reputation with our clients and partners.
Responsibilities
Office-Focused Role:
• Process data from field surveys to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare precise calculations for construction staking task
• Draft topographic surveys and ALTA-NSPS Land Title Surveys.
• Draft Records of Survey and Subdivision Maps.
Field-Focused Role:
• Lead one-man or two-man survey crews to perform boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including robotic total stations, GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
Qualifications
Office-Focused Role:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Field-Focused Role:
• Experience with Data Collection Software and equipment such as Robotic Total Stations and GNSS Receivers is essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• A strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to physical fieldwork demands and maintain a professional demeanor in all environments.
• Responsible, punctual, and open to working overtime as needed.
• A valid California Class C Driver’s License.
• Must currently reside in San Diego or provide a clear timeline for relocation.
